I heard that year 12's have to do 3 exams, is that true.
I know that 1st and 2nd exams are semester 1 and semester 2 exams but what is the third one for.

    The third one is your actual ATAR exam. :)
    so when calculating your atar they take %50 of your SCHOOL MARK and %50 of this ATAR exam and that will give you your raw mark for that subject. (Which has not been scaled just yet)

    Hey Sonu_lohar, Mazso98's answer is spot on :) You may not need to do 3 sets of exams, but you will definitely have to do one set of testing by your school and one set of testing for your ATAR exam.

    1 is for sem 1, 1 is mock exam (done in school), 3rd is wace exam
